About the role

Manage a team of process leads and business analysts to deliver business improvement opportunities, projects and programs across Sydney Water. The Change and Business Improvement team aims to make it easy for our customers and our people to do business with us, improve productivity and build a culture of process excellence

With responsibility for building Process Improvement capability across all levels of the organisation key accountabilities include:

  • Assess, prioritise and deliver initiatives based on customer, business, and resourcing priorities utilising Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Coach and lead process teams/resources using strong project management disciplines and people leadership capabilities, to deliver and implement identified solutions.
  • Implement sustainable solutions which meet strategic business requirements and will also deliver value-add outcomes to the end customer.
  • Monitor the performance of the projects against plan, analysis of spend, ensuring spend meets prioritised business needs and resolution of issues.
  • Be a leader in a networking community both internal/external stakeholder to share and promote best practice.
  • Responsible for supplying process related resources on to projects and programs and having oversight of process delivery quality and return on investment.
  • Focused on embedding the process philosophies and methodologies in opportunity identification, solution identification and implementation whilst fostering and delivering on process excellence across Sydney Water.
  • Enable purpose and empower the team by coordinating direction that balances the requirements to service the business, develop a constructive culture and demonstrate commercial focus.

About you

You have significant experience leading a Practice Manager and team including:

  • 5 years plus experience in significant program management experience in process reengineering and business improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and experience in interacting with business management and operations teams
  • Degree in Business or Administration & certification in Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Program and project management certifications in Prince2 or Managing Successful Programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities and strong problem-solving ability and rigour in problem analysis
