  • Base salary $133,195.89 plus 11% superannuation and additional benefits!  


What’s the role? 

The High Voltage (HV) team provides expertise in the management of high voltage assets across Sydney Water’s operational facilities, to provide water and wastewater services to our customers. This includes: 

  • Maintenance of existing HV assets, 
  • Upgrades to existing HV assets, and 
  • Delivery of new HV assets. 

The focus of this Senior High Voltage Engineer is to ensure HV assets are maintainable and operable by directing, supervising, and working with contracted HV services providers and stakeholders to ensure that safety, customer, and environmental risks are effectively managed.

Who are we looking for? 

Our ideal team member will have extensive high voltage experience with expert knowledge in developing high voltage switching instructions and managing high voltage assets routine maintenance and issues that arise from time to time. 

For successful applicants, it will be essential to hold the following current licenses and certifications: 

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Trade Certificate-3 or Certificate-4 with 5 or more years’ experience with high voltage 
  • Electrical Licence (supervisors certificate NSW or equivalent). 
  • Electrical Access Permit Issuer & Recipient certificates 
  • HV Switching preparation certificates. 
  • Current Driver’s License
