About the role
Oversee development and delivery of Sydney Water’s Community Education and Corporate Social Responsibility program to enable the delivery of Sydney Water’s strategy.
The key focus of this role is to lead and contribute to the consistent and evidence-based view of customer needs and expectations, and our performance at meeting customer outcomes by:

- Senior Advisor Corporate Social Responsibility
- Senior Advisor Community Education
- Community Education Coordinator
- Community Education Officers x 2 (part-time)
- Addition project-based resources as required
Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Develop, manage and operationalise Sydney Water’s Corporate Social Responsibility and community education programs to deliver on Sydney Water’s strategy.
- Lead water literacy framework to build community knowledge of the water cycle in support of strategic outcomes.
- Lead community-based education programs with a focus on building water literacy and aligned to circular economy principles.
- Complete Corporate Social Responsibility reporting to promote Sydney Water’s reputation.
- Lead community involvement programs, including development of the plans to meet the requirements of the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategic Blueprint at an enterprise level.
- Deliver the community involvement elements of the Corporate Social Responsibility plan including grass-roots community investment programs, water literacy outcomes and grants.
- Oversee reporting and data analysis for the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategic Blueprint.
- Build strong partnerships with groups across Sydney Water and with key external stakeholder groups.
- Ensure the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategic Blueprint remains fit for purpose, covering environment, diversity, workplace, community and marketplace issues that will deliver agreed targets, linked to corporate strategy.
About you·
- Degree qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Business.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in community education and involvement, Corporate Social
- Responsibility or stakeholder engagement.
- A proven track record in the management of complex community and stakeholder relationships that operate in a public arena.
- Experience in coordinating a complex and broad engagement and education program, including across groups, partners and portfolios.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including strong corporate and policy communication skills.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, including strong team development, coaching, diplomacy and conflict management skills.
- Strong planning, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and issues and crisis management skills
