Sydney Water’s Program Delivery team has a growing pipeline of work and has continuing requirements for experienced Construction & Maintenance Supervisors with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Engineering, Design, to join their team.

About your role:
We’re hiring an experienced Construction & Maintenance Supervisor to support the Project Manager throughout every phase of the project lifecycle in delivering safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.
You’ll oversee compliance with site inspections, legislation, HSEQ, and stakeholder requirements, while ensuring construction aligns with Sydney Water’s systems and plans.
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory / management role working in Planning and/or Design and Construction (D&C) project delivery in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil infrastructure or utilities industry sectors.
As a Construction & Maintenance Supervisor you will:
- Be “boots on the ground” for the Project Managers.
- Support project teams across all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring safe construction & maintenance that meets design, quality, and stakeholder requirements.
- Mange any hold points & conduct site inspections to ensure HSEQ, environment protection and legislative standards as well as audit maintenance activities.
- Assist in reviewing contract management plans & verify compliance during project delivery.
- Provide your expert Civil/Electrical/Mechanical input during all project phases.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Trade qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Civil fields or equivalent experience.
- A tertiary qualification in construction management. Engineering qualification is highly desirable.
- 10+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, large infrastructure or utilities industry sectors.
- At least 5+yrs in a supervisory role
- Experience on planning and/or Design and Construction (D&C) project delivery in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil infrastructure.
- Strong technical skills across civil, electrical, or mechanical works, with advanced project management ability.
- Solid knowledge of safety, environmental, and legislative requirements (HSEQ); internal auditor training is a bonus.
