About the role:

As a Senior BI Report Specialist, you’ll design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI reports and analyses that deliver clear, actionable insights to support project and program delivery. You’ll own the entire BI development lifecycle—including data modeling, integration, visualization, report design, and optimization—empowering our teams with the information they need to make impactful, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business requirements, ensuring intuitive user experience and effective data visualization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs, translate them into robust data models, and implement advanced DAX calculations for dynamic analysis.
  • Integrate, transform, and optimize data from multiple enterprise sources (e.g., SAP, Primavera P6, SharePoint, Databricks, Excel) to ensure accurate, scalable, and high-performance reporting solutions.
  • Uphold best practices in report design, documentation, security (including row-level security), and governance to ensure compliance, reusability, and data integrity.
  • Provide technical support and training to business users, stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric advancements, and contribute to continuous improvement of BI standards and processes.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ expertise in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting—especially Power BI development.
  • Advanced skills in designing, building, and optimizing Power BI solutions, including strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), data modeling (star schema), and integration with enterprise systems such as SAP, SharePoint, and Databricks.
  • Experience applying UX/UI best practices to develop intuitive, interactive, and user-friendly reports, with a keen eye for data accuracy, validation, and thorough documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective reporting solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications or training (highly regarded), such as Microsoft Power BI/Power Platform, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, SQL, Python, or Agile/Project Management methodologies.
