- Join the Water Resource Recovery Team responsible for operation and maintenance of the Blue Mountains Hub

What’s the role?
This role will see you working across the Blue Mountains Hub inclusive of Penrith, Winmalee, Richmond and North Richmond facilities as a valued member of the Blue Mountains Hub Leadership team.
You will report to the Production Manager to lead the scheduling, coordination and prioritisation of operational, maintenance and minor works tasks and project work on Treatment sites, including liaison with maintenance service providers and contractors, to support production and asset availability, quality and safety standards.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee prioritisation and delivery of operational and maintenance tasks, to meet asset availability targets and budget. Any downtime represents potential breach of Environmental Protection Licence. Consider cost, downtime and risks when deciding whether to repair, replace or refurbish equipment.
- Manage operational and maintenance projects, including liaison with maintenance service providers and contractors, to support production and asset availability, quality and safety standards.
- Use asset management systems including field mobility system and Maximo or similar to coordinate operations and maintenance activities
- Use financial management systems for procurement of goods/ services (e.g. SAP)
- Interface with Process Controller, Reliability Engineer & Process Engineer to support asset prioritisation and planning
- Provide input to asset failure or safety investigations, identify, implement, and monitor improvement initiatives
- Provide input to risk assessments
- Assist in the implementation and/or improvement of Quality and Information Management System(s)
Who are we looking for?
- Degree qualifications in engineering / science, or mechanical / electrical / instrumentation trade qualifications or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in working in a high-paced operational team environment and experience in planning and prioritising work for teams,
- Certificate IV - Water Operations or equivalent experience desirable
- Demonstrated planning and work prioritisation skills in a changing work environment across multiple sites/teams
- Demonstrated process understanding and/or experience in production or manufacturing environment within Water, Wastewater, Recycled Water, and/or Resource Recovery facilities or equivalent
- Experience with planning and scheduling tools, SCADA systems, Microsoft Office application and ability to use customised software packages
