Governance Lead
The purpose of this position to establish and manage effective governance processes to ensure the highest standards of probity and best practice in investment management and decision support are met. Providing ongoing secretariat, reporting, corporate governance, and business improvement and support to relevant teams.
What you will be doing:
- Promote the application of best practice governance principles through coaching and guidance of stakeholder on expectations and impact of governance procedures
- Manage the portfolio governance framework, identifying areas for process and procedural improvement
- Assist in the regular review of governance processes including analysing existing processes, recommending, and implementing changes, documenting new processes and procedures
- Maintain a schedule of major reporting timeframes and manage the effective planning and delivery of all reporting artefacts
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Corporate Governance or demonstrated equivalent experience working in a company secretarial / corporate governance function.
- Extensive experience in the development and management of similar infrastructure portfolios to support prudent investment decision making and realisation of benefits.
- Demonstrated understanding, development and implementation of best practice governance principles, frameworks and models
- Demonstrated experience in governance reporting and executive support at a senior level
- An understanding of the relevant legislative, regulatory, policy and governance frameworks applying to Sydney's urban water market is desirable, but not essential
