  • Build strategic partnerships in leading the integration of internal and external teams across Water Supply and Production
  • Deliver all safety, customer and regulatory requirements and to ensure the effective management of a large geographically dispersed internal and external workforce

What’s the role?

As a Level 4 Manager, you will report to the Head of Water Supply and Production, providing effective leadership for Sydney Water’s 9 Water Filtration Plants.

  • Shape, execute, monitor, and adapt the work of water treatment across SWC & BOO plants to implement the corporate strategy and deliver the best value drinking water to customers
  • Develop and refine short, medium, and long-term plans to that integrate across Customer Delivery and the broader Sydney Water business.
  • Be accountable for delivery of one or more management portfolios, working collaboratively across the whole business to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and lead a geographically dispersed 24/7 integrated internal and external workforce to ensure product requirements and customer, safety, and efficiency outcomes (people, processes, technology, information and data)


Who are we looking for?

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering / Science / Business Management or experience deemed equivalent
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of drinking water treatment plants or similar or continuous industrial process environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in a varied team environment and operate as part of a leadership team
  • Demonstrated high level strategic thinking experience with significant impact at the 5 year and 1-2-year horizons.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to communicate with impact using highly developed written & verbal communication skills.
