What will you be doing?

As a Portfolio Reporting Analyst, you will be instrumental in monitoring and providing value-add analysis of project performance at the enterprise level, delivering critical insights to inform financial management, strategic investment decisions, and the effective control of funds. You will develop and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity, supporting the realisation of project benefits, and driving informed decision-making across Sydney Water.

Your role will involve:

Assist in managing the day-to-day portfolio reporting process, including developing and implementing improvements to ensure efficiency and adherence to established standards set by Corporate/Finance/EPMO.

Maintaining and reporting on pipeline management, including business cases and portfolio dependencies.

Acting as a subject matter expert in advanced reporting, reviews, and process improvement, providing critical support to enhance the overall operational effectiveness of the Business PMO.

Identifying and executing improvements to reporting and analysis processes and documentation.

Reviewing, analysing, and ensuring data integration, integrity, and validation for accurate reports.

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive reporting and data support.

Utilising Microsoft Project Online, Power BI, SAP (S4Hana) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to develop and deliver high-quality reporting.

 Addressing and overcoming key reporting challenges, including prioritising issues and maintaining data integrity.

 who are we looking for?

Tertiary qualification in business/IT management, Project Management, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years' PMO/PMO analyst experience and 1-3 years' experience in a Reporting Analyst or similar role.

Proven experience in program reporting and analysis, identifying trends and issues for remediation.

Strong experience resolving issues in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in teamwork, goals, priorities, advance reporting and project management best practices, including PMO methodology/practices, services, and industry best practices.

Expertise in Power BI and awareness of the Power Platform, with experience in SAP (S4Hana) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Experience in program environment or portfolio/program management office is highly desirable.

Strong data validation experience.
